Cardiomedex is a contract research company dedicated to cardiovascular diseases. Cardiomedex validates the cardiovascular efficacy and safety of future drugs and therapeutic targets. This expertise is supported by an experienced team in preclinical CV research and development and by a permanent research activity of new models and translational techniques to better validate the new targets of tomorrow.

Cardiomedex offers a service platform mainly focused on animal experimentation and the development of new pathological models as well as an « in vitro » platform in development. In this perspective, we are seeking a scientist/project manager to join our highly dedicated and competent team.

Your role

To support the company’s growth particularly the in vitro platform development, we are looking for candidates with a solid scientific background in the field of cardiovascular physiology / pharmacology with a broad understanding of preclinical assays andspecific knowledge in cellular and mitochondrial assays.

In this role, your tasks will be to:

  • Develop, run, and optimize the in vitro technical platform.
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency, scientific creativity, and independent thought in suggesting experimental design.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of the in vitro and mitochondrial platform.
  • Work closely with the Chief Operation Officer and other team members to coordinate and support the in vivo and in vitro studies.
  • Collect and analyze experimental data.
  • Communicate key findings to the team and to external stakeholders when needed.
  • Document your work through written protocols.
  • Ensure own work, and work of peers, is compliant withSafety, Health and Environment standards and all other relevant internal standards and external regulations.
  • Responsible for co-authoring study reports and scientific publication (poster, oral communication, articles) in close collaboration with the Chief Operation Officer and the Director of Scientific and business development

 

Professional requirements

Basic

  • PhD in Biology/ Pharmacology with background in cardiovascular field
  • Ability to design and manage in vivo and in vitro studies.
  • Hands-on-experince designing and conducting cell-based assays.

Preferred skills

  • Experience with methodologies for mitochondria-related mechanisms assessment.
  • Knowledge in cardiac bioenergetics
  • Familiarity with use of animal models for disease studies.
  • Accreditation for designing animal experiments (FELASA B certification or equivalent)

Full-time position on a permanent contract based in the suburbs of Toulouse – France

Remuneration to be negotiated according to the profile.
